Lisa grew up in the Welsh valleys before earning a BA in Media Arts and English, an MSc in Educational Leadership, PGCE and NPQH. Her teaching career began in 2000 in Lincolnshire, followed by 11 years with Nord Anglia in Shanghai and Beijing, where she served as Head of Primary and Principal. She later led Mount Kelly School in Hong Kong and Al Shohub Private School in Abu Dhabi before becoming Vice Principal at Kings’ School Al Barsha, Dubai.
As a COBIS Lead Improvement Partner and NPQH facilitator, Lisa supports school excellence and leadership development globally. A passionate educator, she ensures students receive outstanding learning opportunities. In her free time, she enjoys running, having twice completed the Great Wall Marathon - though these days, she prefers shorter races in Dubai.
Laura grew up by the sea in Wales and earned a Bachelor of Education in Primary Education at the University of Gloucestershire. She moved to the UAE in 2010, teaching in various schools, with a passion for inclusion. Laura is Head of Inclusion at Star, Al Twar and is completing her NPQH. She joined Star, Al Twar in 2021, first as a Year 6 teacher and Deputy Head, then becoming Head of Primary. Laura enjoys travelling, living in the UAE and attending dance classes, which she has loved since childhood.
Agata, originally from Poland, moved to London at seven. She holds a BSc in Psychology, a PGCE from Loughborough University and an NPQSL. Agata became a teacher in 1994, working in Leicester before moving to Dubai in 2014. She has taught across all primary year groups and is passionate about literacy. As Literacy Lead, she fosters a love of reading in children. Agata enjoys reading in both English and Polish and loves spending time outdoors, especially at the beach, when the weather is not too hot.
