Star International School, Al Twar, is delighted to announce the appointment of two experienced educational leaders who will join the school's Senior Leadership Team for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Mandy Palmer has been appointed as Head of Primary, while Beth Golds joins the school as Head of Secondary. Together, they bring significant leadership experience from the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates and the wider International Schools Partnership (ISP) network.

These appointments reflect the school's ongoing commitment to providing exceptional learning experiences and ensuring every student is supported to achieve their full potential.

Welcoming Mandy Palmer, Head of Primary

Mandy Palmer joins Star International School, Al Twar, with more than 20 years of educational leadership experience. Having previously served as a Head of Primary, Primary Head Teacher and Vice Principal, she has a strong track record of leading school improvement and creating high-quality learning environments where children thrive.

Most recently, Ms Palmer worked as a Whole School Leader within an ISP school in Iberia. Throughout her career, she has remained passionate about ensuring every child feels valued, inspired, challenged and supported in their learning journey.

Speaking about her appointment, Ms Palmer said:

"I believe primary education lays the foundation for academic success, as well as confidence, curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love of learning. I am particularly focused on ensuring that every child feels confident in their learning, makes strong progress, and enjoys coming to school each day."

Welcoming Beth Golds, Head of Secondary

Beth Golds joins the school with extensive leadership experience across both the UK and UAE. Over the past eight years, she has held senior leadership positions focused on raising academic standards, strengthening student wellbeing and developing ambitious pathways for student success.

Ms Golds brings considerable expertise in secondary education, including leadership of GCSE and A Level programmes, alongside experience supporting schools through KHDA, ADEK, BSO and COBIS inspection frameworks.

Speaking about joining Star International School, Al Twar, Ms Golds said:

"At the heart of this is a shared belief that every student should feel known, supported and challenged to achieve their full potential. I am particularly focused on ensuring that every student feels confident in their learning, supported in their wellbeing, and clear about their next steps."
